I reserved this sweet little action camera online - which rang up online as $223.46. When I went to pick up in-store it had a blue sticker, which designates 50% off. $111.68+tax for a super capable action camera with front screen (very usable with latest updates). YMMV

I've had gopros in the past (hero 7 black) and I've always hated the user interface/menu. DJI is marginally better but a lot snappier & more responsive. Can't go wrong with either honestly. More reliable and feature-rich than the cheap bizarro brands you'd find on Amazon.
I picked up a mount so I can use the action with the DJI Osmo mobile 3, so I can have software and gimbal stabilization - which is pretty dang sweet.

Will say the mic sucks when it gets wet. What i mean is you have to shake the water out otherwise its very staticy. But we have some great water slide and jumping in shots to add to the family pics. Yes it will get hot if you run it for awhile at high. Never had it have a heating issue but its noticable if you touch it.
As an aside for you all to consider. I took this to a friends house to play in the pool when i first got it. Went to swap the battery and did not seal it perfectly. There's an orange seal around the battery holder and it did not close clean. (This might seem obvious but make sure its fully sealed before you jump in - mine had a little snag and diddnt realize). Well water got in and it was dead. I was quite upset at my stupidity. Anyway I checked online and turns out I was still in the time frame to sign up for DJI care refresh. Sent the thing in, no questions asked and they checked it out, said they needed to repair a par but they sent a brand new camera. Cost me 50 bucks or something but just a heads up for those to explore. I would jump on this just to play around with. Get some nd filters and a hand tripod and youre good.
