My Evo 970 500gb just took a 💩 on me today 1.5 yrs of use as OS boot drive.
Did you get that covered under warranty? I have the same drive and I'm curious.

2.5 ssds are dead.. if you want that form factor get a M.2 and drop it in a 2.5 enclosure.

Will this fit on MSI MAG B660 TOMAHAWK WIFI DDR4? I saw the MB supports the form factor but could not find this model number in the compatibility sheet.

This isn't a good deal. A couple weeks ago, I grabbed one of the 1TB WD Black 750 SE SSDs from GameStop, for $75. It's Gen 4 with a speed of 3600. I use it in my PS5. I don't see any reason to buy a Gen 3, especially at this speed, when you can get faster Gen 4 SSDs for the same price or less. There have been so many deals around this price, for faster Gen 4s.

Went ahead and picked one up. The used XG6 512GB I'd eBay'd was DOA. I figured for less than double the cost, I get double the storage, a full warranty, and hopefully competent shipping and packaging.
It's going into an A320 Mobo with an R5 3600 as a gift build. So, gen4 and/or bleeding edge performance wasn't a concern.

Any idea if this drive *needs* a heatsink? I'll probably put one on it regardless, but am curious if it's a necessity.

Is there a good tutorial for installing this in the crazy Walmart omen laptop clearance deal from 5 years ago? It's running like molasses even after an OS reinstall.

I know this deal is expired, but I thought I'd mention that I ordered the WDS100T2X0C through this deal, but the drive I got today is the WDS100T3X0C, which is the SN750.
