I have one of these. All I can say is it's not worth it if you live in an area with a lot of sunshine. They fade fast and you'll constantly be filling it with water. Ended up refinishing mine and now I just use it as a decoration without it running.

how not-FDA approved do y'all think this is? i want to put a bunch of ice in the bottom and fill it with boozy punch. maybe i can spray it with some bpa-free rattle can coating first on the wetted surfaces?

EDIT: could brush something on too. i think this is a fantastic idea. gonna buy one and figure it out later.

I assume you just turn it on and let it run... how much electricity will it consume? thats my only concern.

I've seen some that use a solar cell and don't need to be plugged into an outlet at all.
