I have had this for some time now, i wouldn't get it again at this point. Lidar is worth the cost benefit at this point.

why? I have it and while it gets stuck sometimes, it runs every day and cleans a 1200 Sq ft floor with only minor issues.

The self empty feature is for me way nicer than lidar.

For 100 dollars more I'd get the updated lidar model directly from sharks website. It should be stated that self emptying is pretty standard at this point, the big selling point of these models are that they are bagless and don't require the proprietary bags in the self cleaning unit. This will probably save you $20-40 dollars a year.

Personally I bought a cheaper lidar model recently to see how I like the tech, if I stick with the robot vacuums I'll need a second model anyways for the 2nd floor and I'll have a little more first hand experience to base my next purchase on.

Because the software is garbage. scheduled cleans don't allow you to select which power to clean... It cleans at normal power which is not ideal for me. The overall power of this device is subpar.

I picked up a ecovacs N8+ the a few weeks ago and it cleans carpets so much better (atleast of pet hair). Tangling is an issue with it but I can live with that as long as the hair is picked up. The Shark also takes forever to create a less than ideal map. There is no multi-floor support -- I live on a three floor house so that is a big deal to me.

EcoVacs software is quite good. You can choose no go zones, areas to mop and clean and at different suction and water dispense levels etc. Not to mention the suction is 2300pa which you can select at certain locations.

I'm not saying go buy a ecovac, i'm just saying the lesser known brands have not only caught up, but have surpassed this Shark at this point.
