  • This is a standalone cellular data plan for an Apple Watch. The plan does not supply cellular service to iPhones.
  • This plan requires Apple Watch Family Setup. Compatible watches include:
    • Apple Watch Series 5 (GPS + Cellular)
    • Apple Watch Series 4 (GPS + Cellular)
    • Apple Watch Nike+ Series 4 and Series 5 (GPS + Cellular)
  • Requires at least iOS 14 on your iPhone and watchOS 7 on your Apple Watch.
Instructions:
  1. Go to Truphone Apple Watch Data Plan
  2. Click "Get Connected" at the bottom
  3. Register for or login to a Truphone account
  4. Enter your Apple Watch EID
    • EID can be found in your Watch App > General > About > EID
  5. Complete registration

God US watch and tablet plans are so expensive. Family overseas pays about $3-$4 a month. $10 a month is just excessive. $120 a year just for the convenience of not having your phone near you seems a bit much.

Do they provide standalone iPad plans? I have an iPad with cellular connectivity. Just for use in USA. No roaming data needed.

Correct. Only way it works. I had it for a month but signal was awful most places for my kid which beats the purpose of being able to use it. Worth trying it in your area and see how it works out.

I am using truphone for my daughter apple watch with family mode. Random phone number as porting needs to jump through some hoops. Service is fine. Taxes included unlike other carriers. No complaints

I've owned an Apple Watch since the first one and tried cellular when it first came out on Apple Watch 3. I kept it active for 2 months but not a single time was I actually without my phone where I needed the watch to have its own data. If you run frequently and think it's worth $120/year to not carry your phone with you then go for it, but pretty much zero use case otherwise. I'm curious those that spend the money what their use/justification is? Not TCing, legitimately wondering.
