The deck has a lifetime warranty though. I believe EGO uses a plastic deck as well, and I've had no issues with that for 3 or 4 years now.

Not to mention, a metal deck will eventually rust. My 15 year old Crastman I replaced had a few holes in the deck. I think these plastic decks will outlive the mowers.

Seems like a great deal for the price, I got two of the non self propelled sister mowers for about $250 each in the last year. They work great but only had 1 battery included.

Honda has had plastic decks on some of their mowers for a long time now. Never seen one fail.

Not really, some reviews say they got damaged when bumped into something accidentally. Steel will outlast plastic. My 20 years old craftsman is still in very good condition
But plastic is lighter and use less battery power to propel
