It was on sale last December? I bought one for $80 and my wife really likes it.

With that said, it's overpriced as shit.

It's really nice.

I can't think of one good reason to opt for the smaller rack over this one, space permitting.

You need this. We upgraded to this [amazon.com] and it has been a gamechanger -- really great quality, looks great, saves space with the tiers.

Yeah, they're pricey. Yes you **need** it! But not sure if you need it at this price.
That one on Amazon looks way more functional. I like the upper tier dish rack in place of the wine glass holder

The only thing i don't like about the upper tier dish rack is that the water from wet dishes will drip down to the other dishes or pans below. With that being said, it really is nice and seems more useful than Simple Human one as long as it doesn't rust. I was just thinking to get this cheaper one here...lol

I picked this up the last time. When it arrived my wife said "That thing is huge" - I said "I know, and so is this new dish rack". This takes quite a bit of counter space.

Bought my mom the compact version at least 5 years ago at a discounted price. She likes it enough, where she bought one for her sister. There was a part that needed replacing and warrantied thru Simple Human. The replacement was covered and received within a few days. It has lasted longer than any prior racks shes had.

Fantastic product. I have been using it for a few years. Well designed and durable. You really get what you pay for when it comes to this rack.

Dunno about people saying this is overpriced. I too was shocked at the prices of this stuff when I first bought one, buts its the going rate i think. Its a quality product and the sponge thing is the best I've ever had.

Considering youll buy three of these your whole life I say go for it. Cleans easy and drains well. Its large but yeah I can throw a heavy frying pan or pot in there and not worry about it snapping.

i wonder if buying through Costco, you could get replacement through them or will you have to contact Simple Human. I think Costco allows returns with their easy return policy, but replacement might have to go thru the manufacturer.

Sounds like your wife isn't used to big packages?

People who say it's overpriced haven't really tried it, almost guaranteed. Costco sells a kitchen aid one that looks similar for half the price - now that is junk. This one is big, so make sure you have the room, but you don't realize how wastefully bad the small ones are until you start using it. Everything is well designed, high quality materials.. Even the spacing seems engineered to optimize drying, because things dry on here in half the time compared to when I put it on a drying pad. Must be the space allowing air flow.

It's like how everyone used to think of American made stuff being higher quality worth the price. Not sure if it's American made, but whatever it is the price is worth it if you can afford it. It's costco, if you think I'm wrong you can always return it.

I had an earlier model for 4+ years when I noticed a little rust. Simple Human asked for a picture and sent a new one. It has metal that is no longer magnetic so at some point they materials. I've had this one for things one for at least as long and it's still like the day I got it.
