If anyone takes his advice and doesn't need the included pump, the pool only is available for $147 from Amazon [amazon.com]

6FT 2 here and it's actually really enjoyable, the kids love it and even for me to float around it's actually really nice, this pump sucks though so get a bigger pump.

Probably deep enough to cool off in on a hot day but you're not exactly doing laps in it.

I live in Michigan sadly my only problem is getting my pool warm LOL
You can find solar warmers, basically just a black mat that has smaller hoses that the filter pumps the water through. I haven't used them, but I have heard they are very effective.

Edit: like this

I always wonder how you drain water from pools like this one? Just flood your yard? Also, do you fold the pool and store it away during the winter? I always thought you leave the pool out all seasons but someone in this thread mentioned they put it away after summer?

I have a 14". I haven't drained it completely, but I drain it partially (below the skimmer port) before winterizing it. The water drains slowly enough that it doesn't create a flood, for me at least. There seem to be different schools of thought, but I went with the one that says taking it down each season can increase the chances of scratching the paint on the frame (leading to rust) and damaging the liner.

I have one of these and love it. Need to escape the GA heat.

It's a bummer that chlorine is so expensive now.
I got a 1000-gallon pump on Amazon Warehouse for cheap and it helps a little. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005QIYL7E
Stronger would be better.
Also, got an intex skimmer that helps too.https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00178IMPO
Basic Intex pool maintenance kit: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004P3LDEU

Make sure you install on a flat surface. I didn't last year and it began to leak along the downhill seams due to the extra weight/pressure.

If installing on the grass at least put a tarp underneath or else you will have a grass thatch attached to the bottom that you can't get off.

I also have an orca reusable filter that is great: https://www.amazon.com/Orca-Filte...B013PDAHBK

There are submersible pumps that attach to garden hoses allowing you to drain it wherever works best.

I have a much larger version of this and we leave it up year round. We have a hayward sand filter and an intex salt water system so cleaning everything up in the spring is relatively easy. One year several years back we took one down and stored it and mice chewed holes in it ugh.
