How does it function vs an Echo Show? I have an older gen1 sitting on my table as a clock music player. Would this function better or worse than that. Only reason I would upgrade is to get a bigger display.

I have the 15-inch version and it does pretty much everything my echo show 8 and 10 did. Shows connected wyze cams, plays music, etc. Even has Plex, web browser, and a bunch of other apps. YMMV though.

Facebook has shown time and time again that they will do whatever it takes to invade your privacy. I'd trust a person that uses 5000K lighting in their living room before I'd trust a device from Facebook inside my home.
