You won't be able to extend it right now but you can save the activation for later. When you try to use the activation, it will tell you the date you need to wait for. I don't recall exactly but somewhere around 18 months is the longest you can have the product activated. I believe you can only extend the subscription during the last 6 months and activation codes expire after 2 years so you should be good getting it now and holding on to it or just wait until later in you subscription to purchase again. They are usually on sale every so often.

This is horrible software for brokerage transactions. Cannot handle anything but simple stock transactions without screwing up. Just my experience. Data file always gets corrupted.

Quicken early renewal (extension) can start 6 months before expiration.

Not sure about the other versions, but the Home & Business version price is luke warm. I bought it for $54.93 (plus tax) for the past 2 years from Newegg
