Man, electronics prices are ridiculous. If only it could be transferred to all the govt controlled markets like medical and college. 450 for a solid, acceptable quality 65" tv is just nuts.

I had this TV from Target last year. Very buggy interface. Do not recommend.

is it still google tv this yr ? why ? Are the bugs resolved ? Roku is so much better.

It should be from the looks of it. Try looking it up on youtube or reddit for whether the bugs have been resolved.

The TCL 65S446 is actually a 2021 model and the 65" size uses an ADS panel according to https://www.rtings.com/tv/reviews...-s446-2021

This TV won't process Dolby audio through optical or ARC. Only stereo PCM. TCL was supposed to release an update on May 1st to fix this issue but that never happened. So if you're looking for surround sound from an external receiver or sound bar, this TV won't do it.

I don't know much about speakers, I have a basic 3.1 setup and the previous year TCL. My receiver always reads "PCM" so I knew something was up, but it sounds decent enough to me.

Does it only affect you if you are going for 5.1, 7.1 etc?

What bothers me more is if I use a Chromecast, there's audio lag. I see the action on the screen, 1/2 second later the audio comes out. Unusable. The device works just fine on other TVs.
