For those not in the know, don't bother with vanilla Persona 5 (the Ultimate Edition in this post). The Royal version adds a ton of features, content, and quality of life changes, and it's practically the same price.

best price for royal that i've seen. one of the best jrpgs (or maybe games in general) in that past decade.

Royal is vastly better than the original release. Tons of new content and quality of life changes. The DLC packages are of dubious value, but always get the "Royal" version of the game.

Royal adds roughly 20 more hours. It gives you a new character, who has her own story that intersects with the original version, and an extra semester. It's a really big difference. There is no reason to play the regular game.

One of the very best games if you have the time and are into the genre. This is one that I could not put down and I'm now at an age where that's really not a thing anymore. Be warned, it's addictive.
