Target has the Westinghouse 55" UHD TV for $235 where inventory permits. I have the 50" version in my bedroom and I'm satisfied with it as a secondary TV. Debating between this and the 40" TCL for a spare bedroom, leaning towards this since 40" seems small.

Really bad reviews. I'm happy with my TCL 55" Roku TV, so I'm not opposed to budget TVs, but man the reviews are terrible.
From consumer reports as well, I compared this TV to TCL S4 series, and it received a much better score, with HD and UHD both having 4/5.
That being said, comparing this TV side by side with the TCL, it looks pretty good. I would have to say they're on par, with the TCL being better. I'd buy again.
edit: not sure why I got down voted, since I'm the only one in this thread with both TVs, but I wanted to come back and say
it played the 4k Costa Rica video on YouTube very well. minimal judders during the panning scenes, like all the other good budget TV, sharpness was great, I can see all the details of that amazing video. no screen tearing like those early 60hz 4k TV when they were first released. one thing I noticed was, with the better monitor, I couldn't tell the turtle was filmed behind a glass tank right away. with this Westinghouse, it was very obvious that turtle was in a tank and not in the open water. the color in general can't be compared to an OLED. IMO, it's like comparing Samsung OLED phones to Apple more "natural" phone screen. you're just not getting that saturated contrast on this Westinghouse

6 Target locations near me (Within 50 miles). Non available, not for pickup nor shipped or delivery. Target offers 3 choices to purchase online. That works out well when you don't have any. But I wonder about the quality at this price. $235.00? I'm not sure why & why is my question? Cheapest 55" I've ever seen. Does it look like total crap? I dunno.
Maybe I haven't kept up with prices as well as I used to, just to cheap for me till I learn different.

Have 2 of these purchased within last 3 years. For the money, I have no complaints. These are spare bedroom TVs. And they work well for that purpose and both are still in commission.

I have TCLs as well and they are definitely the best bang for the buck. They perform on par with the higher end TVs.
