32GB RAM, 2TB and QHD, this is definitely the best deal right now for 12th gen. IMO, either this one, or the RTX 3060 model for $1299. Anything in between just doesn't have same value.

Small detail, but this one also has per key RGB optical switched. Truly don't think any brand model will be cheaper than this with full power 3070 Ti...no until the fall at least, and even then, won't be saving more than maybe 200 tops, if
I would not buy this laptop for $2000... If it came with a 3080 or a 3080ti (not sure if they have those for laptops yet) then it might be worth it.
The 3070ti is basically a 3080. Unless HP cut down the Watts on it. This is a great deal for the specs. You can't find a laptop with these exact specs 3070ti or 3080 for under 2k. And that's for a 15—16in screen. A 17in is almost IMPOSSIBLE to find with those specs under 2500.
This is a great price for the specs on a 17in frame. You will not find better. The 3070ti is basically a 3080. I couldn't find anything close under 2500 with a 17in screen.

Not really. The RTx3070ti is limited by only 8GB vram, while the RTX3080 has 16GB VRAM, plus its 165W power, vs only 150W of the 3070ti.
I found only 2 3080 laptop with 16gb of vram when I was looking to buy a laptop. Most laptop 3080s is only 8gb vram. I bought a Gigabyte with a 3080 8 GB vram, 32gb ram, 1tb M2 1080p 300hz 16in screen for $1900. I couldn't find those specs under 2k except that laptop.

Yeah, it definitely surprised me at this price. I think it won't last for long at this price. Way too good for the price. Even at $2k, that laptop would be better deal than this Omen.
I feel for you as a fellow poster. This is really a good deal for the specification and Omen 17 does come with a full blown 150W RTX 3070 Ti, in case people are guesting. Also, it does have a MUX Switch.
The Deal I posted for the same laptop, was having 16GB Ram and 512GB SSD and costing $1830 and the current Costco one with same same as mine but 1TB SSD costs $1900. By paying $100, you're getting twice the DDR5 memory (which will cost over $200 alone) and twice the SSD.
I just picked up the previous generation one for $879 open box. 16GB/1TB/3060. Only 1080p, but that's good enough for me. So far so good. Nice solid machine. I love the keyboard. The power supply is a monster, though. It's the size of a Mac Mini

You may be talking about deals with ryzen chips or different laptop models. There have been other omen deals at around 1200 and other 12700h deals at around 1500 with less ram and ssd, but 12700h omen deals have started at around 1800.

This looks like a good deal for current gen.
