This is the lowest of the low for the impact driver. But seriously these things are awesome and will amaze you at what they are capable of if you have never used one. My brother has always done tons of stuff diy like fences etc and when I upgraded to a brushless, I gave him this model, he called me back a week later angry that I hadn't told him about them earlier. They are way less strain on your wrist, can apply more torque than a drill, spin faster, and can change bits faster. I honestly only use a drill maybe 5% of the time now, I always reach for my impact driver. Great tool at a great price. Plus these things done go through batteries that fast, I have all the sizes of ryobi batteries, but have never ran a 2.0ah dead even doing an entire kitchen.

I got this model as part of a bundle. Used couple of times. It is too powerful to any screws. There is absolutely no control over the power/speed. Light press and you have typical driver but slow, like 12V driver or so. And once you press little bit more and impact kicks in the screw is gone, all inside the wood half of inch below the surface with stripped head.
Totally junk for me.
I don't have this problem at all with this model... perhaps your trigger has a bad variable speed sensor.
I never had an impact driver before until the dewalt atomic deal not too long ago. I was impressed with the torque but it was too unstable. The wobbling made it really hard to use. It helps to use the other hand to push/guide the driver. Wondering if I'm doing something wrong?

Hard to say, my impact driver only wobbles when I'm going too slow, but you could try using a sleeved bit holder like this:
yeah, because buying on craigslist or fb marketplace is exactly the same as buying on amazon. what was your point supposed to even be?
It's clear the point he's trying to make. Aren't prices on FB and CL generally lower than AZ? So if it's selling for the same price .. then …. I'm pretty sure he saying it's a good deal?
I have this. I'm sure I'm doing something wrong but I can't seem to use it effectively. Driving in screws into wood is too unstable and ends up taking more time. I end up just screwing them in manually (after pre-drilling a hole with my drill). Drilling by hand gives me wrist pain eventually, but at least the screws go in without getting stripped.
I'm sure I'm just bad at it. Need more practice I guess.
