It's a Ryzen 3 3250C. Might even be interesting if you can change the UEFI and use it as a regular Widnows or Linux notebook.

4 GB RAM is not great. Small/slow storage might also be a problem (for Windows especially). It's a 2-in-1 but that novelty could wear off fast.

This processor is not good. It should be OK for Chrome but not for Windows. This one is better for Windows Pentiums is faster than this CPU.

Well if you are expecting to use an entry level chromebook like this for more than 7 years.....I dont know what to tell you. I don't think I'd have it for more than 3-4 years max.

No UEFI custom firmware, but should be able to install Linux and Windows according to https://wiki.mrchromebox.tech/Supported_Devices

There's no reason not to send security updates to some devices and not others especially considering they are collecting data on you. Maybe something obsolete 10 years out. Otherwise just promotes e waste.

Best Buy listing and QA mention the backlit keyboard. But Acer's website has no information about it. For anyone thinking 4gb RAM is not enough, it will be more than enough for web browsing, some office and consuming media. If you are into serious Linux Developement, then you are too cheap and should invest in something better anyway.

What I love about Chromebooks is their simplicity, OS lightweight, security and years of software support.
