A month after launch these were $399. I got one open box - excellent from Best Buy for like $370ish if I recall. The device build quality is EXCEPTIONALLY nice. The performance, however, was oddly sluggish. At least, it was at that time. At $249 this is probably a decent deal, as long as you don't need something that handles a lot of tabs or apps at once and you're not expecting ipad-like performance.

(My son's old 5th-gen iPad from 2017 is notably snappier in every respect than this device)

Hmm, so this or the Lenovo Yoga P11 that's $199? Primarily will be using for web browsing, and streaming services while traveling, and a little light office work. Is this an OLED screen?

8 gb vs 4 GB makes this choice pretty easy for me
