Every time i see this cooler i am tempted. Apparently, it performs pretty damn well. It's just so... ugly.

Why would this be a problem you can easily set a fan curve(for the price this is an incredible deal I bought one I don't even need it, might come in handy). I use 140mm Noctua fans on my PC but have it run at the bare minimum lmao. I've noticed I couldn't stand loud computers as I got older. I remember having loud Silverstone fans abck in the day and I was happy lol

At first, I was thinking something was wrong w/ the AiO for it to be priced that low (e.g., refurbished). However, to avoid the loudness of the original fans, I usually I switch them out w/ Noctuas, in this case 2x 140mm. In for one.

Because regardless of the fan curve you use, it's still louder than it's immediate competition. there are other clc's that use more optimized fans out of the box that won't have an issue staying quiet with the same if not better performance is this one. For this price, yeah, not a big deal simply because you could buy a pair of any other better fans on the market to slap on this, like some noctuas as you mention, but that would just drive the cost up to about the same as any of the other clc's on the market that are already quieter, like the Liquid Freezer II 280.

Then, in my case, you have the added drawback of how ugly the evga logo is on the cooler itself lmao. I have a window on my case and try to make it look a little bit nice in there. Personally, i'd still rather go for the Liquid Freezer II 280 even at it's normal price of 109 if i were going for something no frills that doesn't look bad. But if this is going in a case where no ones looking at anything and you don't mind the noise, then this deal absolutely kills, even with the added cost of replacement fans.

I've had this for about 5 years I think. Never had a water cooled setup before but I like it much better than any air setup I've ever used.

The fan noise has never bothered me. I can barely hear my rig unless I'm gaming and then the GPU fans are what I hear.

I'm not a fan of the EVGA logo but I kind of like that I can set it to change color based on CPU temp so I can pretend it has some purpose. It's actually the only RGB I leave on since it is dim enough to not drive me nuts. Maybe I'll 3D print something in translucent plastic to stick to it… hmm…

Does it have an idle mode where you can turn the fans off? I know some AIOs have that feature.

I'm not sure since I haven't messed with it in a long time but from what I've seen I doubt it.

Well, probably not building a PC until next year but seems like a killer deal. Grabbed one to start slowly buying parts as I find them on a good deal.

This. Most of these AIO use standard fans. I replaced mine on a different model I got. But, always verify this is the case as some models don't use standard fans. The one I upgraded was an EVGA AIO with similar looking fans fwiw.

I've had it for 3 years! Keep my i7 10700k oc to 5.1 around 40c when gaming. Great cooler.

Sadly o11 side vents don't support 280mm, 360mm is around $84 on Amazon.

I wish they are the same price on NewEgg, I had to use my GC, ended up getting Galohad with Uni fan variant (white).

If the noisy fans are indeed the root cause, would you recommend replacing them? Is it worth the discount in the grand scheme of things?
