Too many reviews are from free samples provided to them. So don't let the rating fool you.

Brickseek shows a location near me with stock, but Walmart.com says there's none there. Would the Walmart site show no stock if it's gone on clearance, or is it more likely Brickseek is just wrong?

I've come across it in the past, there's a good chance brickseek is just wrong.
Mine showed in stock on both the Walmart site and brickseek.

It depends on the store. I have brickseeked a clearance item sitting right in front of my face to check the price, a dozen of them on the shelf, and it showed 0 at that location.

And on the opposite end I've brickseeked an item on here that shows 6+ and couldn't find it anywhere in the store. Those ones are in the back prepped to return to vendor, so still show as inventory on brickseek, but not available for sale according to Walmart associate, or have already been sent to vendor, but someone hasn't cleared them from the system.

You would have to learn your store by deal hunting for a while. My nearest store is really bad with inventory numbers, hence the 2 scenarios above, I don't trust inventory numbers at this store. But the next 2 nearest stores are where I find these deals quite often.

Remember, brickseek shows what walmarts internal inventory shows, brickseek isn't to blame for inaccurate numbers, that's Walmarts fault.

Walmart website will not show clearance items in-stock, even if the store is full of them. They made that change over a year ago. They also changed their app not to show clearance items' stock and price in store (but the employee app will show correct price and stock). Walmart has become extremely anti-consumer over the last year or so, I don't know (and don't care) if that's the result of management change, or just the inherent stupidity of the Walmart management.

This is mostly true, but not entirely. I've seen Walmart employee handheld show accurate stock count, whereas Brickseek does not. The handhelds use the same source as Brickseek. In BS's defense, Walmart makes frequent changes to their stock management software, and BS cannot always keep up.
