Wall mount noob here, never used one before. So I'm looking at the 16124. I believe this will move horizontally (left to right), and I believe it extends and retracts (front to back). Does it pivot on the mount (turning on a radius horizontally from the stud mount)?
I'm assuming none of these products will do what I need them to, which is move vertically (up and down) and turn on a vertical axis (tilt up and down). I need this for a Samsung G9 49" monitor that will not fit on a desk (I can't get far enough away from it to be at the optimal distance of 1 meter (1000R). The supplied stand will move vertically and tilt on a vertical axis, so I want a wall mount to do the same. Basically I want a wall mount to do exactly what the supplied stand can do. So if this one doesn't work and it means spending more, so be it.

I could be wrong but… I was looking at the 1624 and I do not think it extends and retracts front to back. It looks like to push the tv against the wall, you push the tv to the side so the mount will be off center of the tv. So, your monitor will have one position when fully extended from the wall and moved to the side when pushed against the wall. The arm is a single piece. To move to and from the wall in the same place, there normally has to be an elbow in the middle of the arm.
Here is one at a similar price that will extend to and from the wall in the same center. Note the elbow in the middle. This is a very cheap one and may not support your monitor. Just linked as an example, not a recommendation.
Full Motion TV Monitor Wall Mount Bracket Articulating Arms Swivels Tilts Extension Rotation for Most 13-42 Inch LED LCD Flat Curved Screen TVs & Monitors, Max VESA 200x200mm up to 44lbs by Pipishell https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07SHFP...UTF8&psc=1
Definitely no, this mount will not move vertically (up and down). No tv mounts that I know of will do that. Sound like you need a monitor arm, which will be more expensive.

I've gotten these before and they're great esp at this price point.
My question to the community is:
The item says tvs 37 - 70 in, max weight 165 lbs, vesa pattern up to 800x400 and I'm wondering would it be ok to mount the Samsung 85" that was on here a short while back? Specs are: 85", 98.1 lbs, vesa 600x400. I'd think the weight is the biggest factor and of course the vesa spec, should this be good?
TIA

It says in the FAQ that the inches are a guideline and the only thing that matters is the weight and VESA

On one hand, I agree. On the other hand, for a corner mount, there could be a limit before you start to hit the walls. Obviously a 500" 35lbs hypothetical TV would not work. So there is a limit with the corner mount.
Moving next month. I'm sure if I try to remove my monoprice mounts I have now I'll end up taking half the drywall with it. Most have been up about 5 years now.

Is it a rental? I am sure they will want you to take it off

Yep, mine just broke and I went to replace it. It's gone apparently and they don't know if they will restock
Whenever I see a corner mounted TV, I think hospital waiting room or psych ward or prison rec room.
