this might be the first time I have seen "WiFi 5 " ...been under a rock. Nahh. Just marketing talk

Wi-Fi 6 means 802.11ax technology – the new generation of Wi-Fi, present in many routers you'll buy from now on
Wi-Fi 5 means 802.11ac technology – effectively the previous generation
Wi-Fi 4 means 802.11n technology – many people will have networking gear based on 802.11n, but it was replaced by 802.11ac in many new routers from 2013 on.

For most people, WiFi 5 would be more than sufficient, specially if you are getting it this cheap, unless you are okay to spend $300 to get WiFi 6

If you planned on using their triband mesh, then I could see a little merit behind getting this, even though linksys is one of the most under performing brands when it comes to wifi now adays. In most cases you would be better off in almost all respects in getting a simple RAX20 or AX21 router for around $60 and you would have AX technology and still get speeds well over anything a AC system could do.

When it comes to just a standard 1 to 1 of who can perform the best to a single device and keeping all other things equal even the most basic of Wifi 6 router will out perform even the highest end of Wifi 5, sad but true.
