Do these output white light or yellow light? The Costco ones output white light which doesn't match with the output of my other outdoor lights.

yes. but the LED'S have a loooong life span. Keep in mind it goes on only at night, and even less if you have it set to motion sense. I'd think minimum 10 years, possibly even 15-20 yrs.
While this is true about LEDs, it's a little misleading. The marketing behind LED bulbs and products, in general, is misleading and slightly frustrating at times.

LEDs themselves have amazing lifespan. But their drivers and other components do not. These often fail well before the LED ever will.

That is true for LED, but not everything else that is powering the LED. The dirty secret is that other parts will fail way before the LED itself. In the case of motion ON it may last a bit longer because it is OFF most of the time, but if you keep it on all the parts that drive the LED will not last past 5-10 years.

Is it 3000 lumens total or each light?
Total, they would love to say 6000 if it was 3000 from each light.

Got the Home Zone Security Motion Sensor Outdoor Light - Solar Outdoor Weatherproof Triple Head Security Flo... [amazon.com]at amazon. It's 3 lights and 6000k at $33. I've had it working as advertised for 2 yrs plus. I'm happy with it and probably buy again, but after searching.

The solar feature is great for areas where running power to is hard, but they're also half the lumens (1,500 vs 3,000).

Thanks for the reply. Well it sounds like I could power this via batteries. Any idea what the battery pack needs to be to power it? Any reference on your statement? The lighting isn't bad, yeah you always want something brighter, but it ain't bad.

I bought these a few weeks ago. My only complaint is you can't use these with a surface mounted exterior 4" round electrical box. This base of this light is over 5" in diameter IIRC, leaving a large gap all around. I haven't yet found a solution other than making a metal ring to take up the distance, which I still need to do.

My original Heath/Zenith motion detectors finally bit the dust after 18 years in the sun.
You might try something like this (Used for mounting lighting fixtures):

4 in. Round Fixture Cover, Raised 1/2 in. [homedepot.com]

This. These type fixtures will last longer mounted under an eave, but wall-mounted in direct sunlight will kill the motion detector long before the LED fails.

I feel your pain. I often wonder why there isnt an adapter since the 4" base is so common. I've mounted the two different bases together and used a ton of caulk to seal them together. Its especially frustrating for anyone trying to mount a 5" base on a steel sided shed.

There is a replaceable battery in these. My battery lasted about 5 years before lights went wonky. About $14 to replace battery. Works great 👍
Bought a new one, read insert, found out about battery!
