"The biggest knock on the Garberg isn't the microbevel, or the sheath, or its lack of foodprep prowess. It's the price, plain and simple. Most folks are used to paying $15-$30 for a Mora, and this model costs at least three times that. Personally, I can see where the angst comes from. Steel Will and Buck make blades that are almost as good functionally, while costing substantially less.

But what it boils down to is this – Of all the fixed blades I've tested, the Garberg is the one I'd want to take with me into the wilderness. It's an all-around performer from a storied company, perfect for buyers who are looking for a single, do-it-all bushcraft blade.

Do I think it costs too much? Absolutely. But in the field, far away from your bank and bills, this is an excellent knife."

I had no idea Morakniv even made full tang knives. But I love all my other Morakniv so I'm guessing this is a great knife.

Good deal on this knife.

The Mora Companion and other utility knives, which folks may be more familiar with, are all great knives and tremendous values. The Garberg is a step above in terms of durability for bushcrafting and hard outdoor use, however.

I don't think you can lose going with any of the Moras as long as they fit your need.

The Companion and Companion HD are still great, durable outdoor knives. But if you are looking for the Garberg, this is a good price.

Great price for a great bushcraft knife. There are others in the budget bushcraft category that are better in some areas and worse than others -- Condor Terrasaur, Cold Steel SRK -- but you won't go wrong with a Garberg.

Yes of course but all moras have a semi full tang (google it). Doesn't reflect the gigantic markup on this version. Never had one fail and could buy 4 for this price.

Garberg is more expensive than usual $10 Mora for few reasons:
Larger, thicker, more robust design requires more and better materials
More expensive steel (14C28N) vs. other Mora (12C27 or less steel)
and as mentioned full tang design

I believe the molle mount version is standard issue for Swedish military. Mora makes more than Craftline and Companions (which are plenty capable).

I take this knife for camping/hiking for past several years; extremely satisfied with it. I also have carbon steel Garberg, but need stainless steel for food prep.

This is a good knife for its price (specially in 2022).

The only think that I don't like about the Garberg, is the lack of a guard feature. Especially on a blade I may be exerting myself on.

The highest I went in the Mora line is the Mora Bushcraft Forest. It's the Kansbol blade on the bushcraft handle.
