Is this really that superior to a BrandX mouse like a Pictek, Victsing, or Zelotes with similar (or more) features?

honestly the new software is terrible. If you download the old version of razer synapse though it runs great. I've had this mouse/replacement mouses for at least 3 or 4 years. issues I've had is things like wheel scroll no longer functioning consistent and the right click stopped working on another but I'm pretty sure those could've been fixed if I looked into it enough but it's easier to buy a new one when they're this cheap! Might get a replacement one for when this one isn't at 100 anymore.

I can't speak for these mice specifically, but I do own the normal Deathadder V2 and it's a solid mouse. The software could use a few tweaks, but it's not bad. The only minor complaint is the scroll wheel has the faintest squeak occasionally. Hasn't driven me nuts enough to figure out how to fix it, but it is less than a year old, probably about 6-9 months. In it's defense, I know I use the scroll wheel WAY too much...trying to break myself of the habit by clicking the scroll wheel and moving the physical mouse. Overall, I would buy and have bought Razer again (not because they broke...Slickdeals effect).

Was a huge fan of the Deathadder, but I can't reconcile how quickly they fail. Feels great in the hand, but not worth replacing over and over again.

unfortunate these fail often, however it is implied in the name (disposable razor)
stick with logitech quality, have a logitech gaming mouse from 2005 everything still works except the scroll wheel sensor failed.

This is probably the best mouse for non-gamers, but comes with the worst software for non-gamers.

Just my opinion. I love their software(not a popular opinion from what I've read on many forums). I can set different profiles for gaming and work(I set the page back and page forward to different keys). Also because of their software I can bring the mouse to any computer and the profiles will be there and I can game or work on that computer without a hassle. As for longevity I can't say. I'm a casual gamer, not a pro/hardcore. People don't like the software which I completely absolutely understand because before I was like "WTF they want all my info and stuff to create an account just to use a stupid mouse!!!". Now I'm like "Yes I love their software" because its the same across all my computers. I have the deathadder v2 mini plus two other different razers because I wanted to try different ones.

I've owned several of these mice and while they feel great, the quality of parts is just abysmal and has been for years. These simply aren't built to last after more than a year or two of regular use, and you'll eventually run into double-clicking errors, broken scroll wheels and/or the rubber pads on the side sliding off once the adhesive gives way.

Overall, solid design but poor materials and lackluster software means you should never buy this unless it's on a deep discount.

Been using DeathAdder mice as long as I can remember. Still using an older DeathAdder Chroma as my main desktop mouse and haven't used more recent full sized models. Got a couple of the Chromas on clearance at Target back in 2017 I believe. I think the first lasted 4 years and using the 2nd now. I'd guess 4 years is probably the typical lifespan I've gotten using DeathAdder's 8+ hours per day working from home.

Also been using the DeathAdder V2 mini for awhile on my laptop and really like it. Picked up a few when Walmart put them on clearance as backups. Tried the Razer Viper Mini first but it was very annoying the the bottom touches and drags on the mousepad, so returned it.

DeathAdder's are certainly far better than any of the cheap gaming mice on Amazon I have tried. Last Logitech mouse I used, G305, I tried I absolutely hated and stopped using quickly. Had a Corsair Harpoon for my laptop before the DeathAdder V2 Mini which I had liked but those fail very fast (double click).

I want to get this because it's great price and like this mouse. But, I have one that really was not used much since 2014, and while it several years old I have the double click issue for couple years. First mouse in decades I ever had an issue with.

Could someone recommend a Logitech with similar style and build? I always like the razor with the rubber side grips , the buttons, and the shape worked great for me

Buying a second DeathAdder v2 mini. I used it the last year while I was away from home. Came back to a normal Razor mouse and found it too big. This one will be for monthly traveling. Love it, but agree the Razor software is t great, but a set it and forget it thing.
