I don't think a photoshop designer, coder, videographer, etc will mind a 5ms delay
I'm a coder (dual screens of this) and don't notice any latency. The brightness is a bit lower than I would have liked but got used to it.
I'm having trouble pulling the switch, now that I've seen OLED. Must...resist...
5ms vs 2ms for work? Really doesn't matter.

It also seems crazy that the HP monitor can't do 10-bit color and HDR at the same time.
The only negative is if you plan on color grading HDR footage because this monitor isn't bright enough for high quality HDR. I know a lot of people don't touch HDR footage because of unfamiliarity so if HDR is not an area you'll venture into, this monitor will be gorgeous for you.

If you aren't doing 10bit and hdr AND THE SAME TIME (you must pick) it's brighter i believe than this. It's at minimum 450 nits. It's 450 on sale now. Very similar to this. This one the advantage is a believe lg has DP 1.4 rather than 1.2 like the HP model. Also with HP you can get a 3 year warranty for 30. IN my case if your just doing productivity i went with 10bit. HDR it's hard to adjust the brightness in windows and it get too bright for working i felt. That said it's an absurd limitation so i always bring that up. This is also a good monitor worth considering though at this price. The price did inflate a lot from last year. I think Lg's the warranty is a little off putting. I prefer more like a 3 year personally. They fail at a somewhat low rate, but i use mine for work so it gets a lot of hours.
I think the real world brightness is closer to 450 than 400 at least on mine. The colors are spot on.
1. Multiple Inputs - If you have multiple input devices connected, Ergo makes it harder to switch as you have to use the flimsy Joystick control on the monitor. With M7, you can use the remote to switch between inputs.
2. USB issue - When you have multiple inputs connected via HDMI and USB-C, If you have the USB -C input idle for a long time, it switches the USB circuit off and even the regular USB outputs on the monitor will loose power for power saving. So if you use a light bar, sometimes it won't turn on.
Some minor issues but I like my ergo monitor better than M7.

I am looking for a work monitor for the last couple of weeks now. This LG monitor deal looks good, but I was also considering Dell 34'' curved monitor S3423DWC (https://www.dell.com/en-us/shop/d...cessories). This also supports usb c and comes with a $200 gift card + Amex $120 discount, which brings it to about $450.
Which one do you guys think would be better for work?
