Esports?

I don't think a photoshop designer, coder, videographer, etc will mind a 5ms delay

I'm a coder (dual screens of this) and don't notice any latency. The brightness is a bit lower than I would have liked but got used to it.

I've been watching and waiting for this to go on sale again. Previous sales were $150 off, for $500. Last time was January, I think.

I'm having trouble pulling the switch, now that I've seen OLED. Must...resist...

Scrolling is less enjoyable in 60hz vs 100+ but it's hardly as important as having more pixels for sharper text, better color, etc. It is near the end of the nice to haves for coding/spreadsheet etc work.

5ms vs 2ms for work? Really doesn't matter.

As a monitor? Won't it have burn in issues (I know they are really "that" common). But the amount of time that you get a static image on a PC is just so much longer than that of a TV.

Btw I'm also in the same boat as you. I have been watching this since the last discount (I didn't buy). I'm thinking either to grab this or go back to dual 27inch at 1440p...

Don't forget to try to ask for a $50 coupon for orders over $500. Costco offers such coupon last year, as I got this monitor for $450 before tax.

Thanks for the tip! I have my shopping cart loaded, and there's lots of hits online for this $50/500 coupon, but nothing that seems to work. I called a Costco CSR and she says she is not aware of any such coupon. I'm not going to commit until I get this coupon!

Does any SDer have a current $50/500 coupon code they can spare? TIA.

Not particularly. Only does 60hz and high latency at 5ms. If you are ok with that then it should be good picture but there are better options for less. It's more of a professional monitor

High latency sucks for professionals, too.

Do you have to scale the screen to 125-150% to read code comfortably from IDE with font size 12-13? Intellij IDEA user here.

I can see someone who doesn't have a larger monitor, wants a monitor that is stylish and wants to work from home with a laptop this makes a lot of sense. I can't justify getting this since I have a HP 32 inch 60hz 1440 with free sync monitor which I got for $180. IPS, Ergo stand, USB-C, and 4k is not worth the $550 in my opinion. Especially since the ergo stand, while looks probably better than any other stand it not as ergo as some of the higher end ones we can find on Amazon.
I agree with most of your comments. But at 32inch I'm not going to go 1440p.
