My first posted deal. Hopefully it works for others as it did for me.

Because Southwest points are worth 1.3 times as much as cash, in terms of cash value this offer actually earns:
• 6.5% in the travel, gas station, and grocery store categories.
• 9.1% on purchases made directly with Southwest Airlines (including flight, inflight, Southwest gift card, and Southwest Vacations package purchases, and at participating Rapid Rewards hotel and rental car partners).

Max $1500 in purchases. Ends 6/30/2022.

This deal is based on a similar deal for Chase Amazon cardholders.

So the offer did not work for my credit card that I have high volume on but the offer did work on my other credit card that I have low volume on.

Yes, so it's probably targeted toward low activity card holders, just like the Chase Amazon offer. (I have a Chase Amazon card but wasn't eligible for that offer because I use the card a lot.)

Worked for my Chase Southwest Plus card (which I haven't used once in almost 3 years).

Probably spent 6k already on my card as I was chasing 100k bonus points. I was still targeted.

How can you tell it's on your card? Do you get an email? Is it something that you can check on your chase online account?

Why would you hold onto a fee based card without activity for 3 years?

I seem to remember that most of these Chase Southwest cards almost pay for themselves in terms of the annual point bonuses (even with no activity) they pay into your Southwest account. So if you have a use for the points...

Basically this. I churned this card to get a Companion Pass that I took full advantage of (~50 rt flights over the 2 years), so the card has more than paid for itself. For ~$70/yr I get something like 3k points and a couple early-bird checkins, so it roughly breaks even. I should probably cancel it so I can take advantage of future promotions, but

Does it appear on your card? Did you receive an email? Can you view it in your online account at chase.com?

Although I don't recall being notified by e-mail, the activation still worked for two of our Chase Southwest consumer cards.
Just plug your info in at https://www.chase.com/mybonus and it'll tell you if you're eligible.
