I have owned one of these for four years and absolutely love it. I am SHOCKED AND AMAZED that I've had no maintenance to do, and the batteries all still work (albeit, they only last about 75% of what they did originally).

It's not self-propelled but I just bought a Worx mower/trimmer/blower/tire inflator with the power share system. I highly recommend these, but I wish I had gotten something bigger than the 14" deck size.

Just bought 80V Kobalt Brushless mower with 5AH battery and charger for $399. They have a EGO for that price now the site is not functioning well but those are much better and both are 21".

My five year old Kobalt 80V just died on me why I bought a new one. One of the batteries still works well with 3 bars. It last 80% as long as the new ones. They made some improvements over those years the charger is a bit better on dead batteries. It does not have auto stop on the blade and the blade slows down under pressure. It looks the same

EGO is better from what I understand just more pricy. But five years is not bad. The lot is not huge but not small either It takes 8-10 AH to mow it all.

I suggest you charge the battery at one bar. The charger works better that way.

The one I bought is now 499 but for that you can get this one with a 6AH battery and it is self propelled. https://www.lowes.com/pd/Kobalt-8...1000698046

I waited a year for this to come out and when they finally hit the shelves they were $450. The manager begrudgingly gave me the $399 price on it though. I love it because the 24v batteries are compatible with all my power tools, it doesn't bog down unless I purposely run through really tall grass, and it's very quiet. The self propelled feature has gotten me out of a few pickles when I took it down to mow the creek, but otherwise I don't use it that much, because it's easy to maneuver and pretty light. Finding it on sale for $399 is probably the best it's ever going to get, but it's definitely worth it if you're already eyeball deep in the 24v line.
