I'm a noob and in market for a low-mid end gaming PC. Any reason to not pull the trigger on this one? Can anyone help? How are the thermals?

Just buy it, the other answer guy isn't going to provide your warranty and tech support, let alone the time.

Yeah, I'm not tech savvy or diligent enough to learn how to build a PC by myself. Can you compare this deal to this open box $1400 one? https://www.bestbuy.com/site/hp-o...Id=6482026

I wonder if it'd be worth to spend an extra $400 for it. TY.

Depends on your budget, the 3070 is certainly better if you can afford it.

The other has a better GPU. Probably better performance. So depends on your budget. In general I avoid the likes of HP, Dell ect. There use of proprietary components that cannot be replaced is infuriating. I don't know that ASUS didn't do the same, but they usually do not.

I'm confused by the USB port specs. ASUS's main product page says it has a few USB 3.2 Gen 2
Ports. But the detailed spec page says it only has Gen 1 ports.

There's a shockingly detailed review of this in the "review" section on the BB website that essentially says the cooling issues are problematic and as a result, it's just not up to par. Can't believe BB didn't take down the review.

I would suggest you just wait for one of the Dell sales to mix and match with an AMEX deal. You'll still have proprietary board complaints, but you'll probably be able to get a better rig for the same or less money. If you're not going to be replacing parts yourself, the proprietary board issue won't matter to you.

All depending on what resolution you want to play on, if you have a 1080p monitor get the 3060 to save couple hundred dollars, if you have a QHD or 2k or 1440p monitor with or without a high refresh rate get the 3070.

A similar deal was posted last month on sd for $1250 (3070 instead of 3060, and 2tb hdd+512 ssd instead of 1tbhdd+512ssd), it wasn't a slickdeal then esp with 3070s costing a bit more than msrp at that time. I said it would've been a slickdeal at 1100 or less. Well, now its a 3060 instead of a 3070 for 20% cheaper. Get it.

Pull the trigger if you can get the $1000 one, if you have to pay $1100 for the new one, I'd wait, it'll get there, they already priced it $1000, it'll happen again. These pre-builds are probably gonna hit $800 by year-end esp once the 4000s appear at Q3..
