I'm a noob and in market for a low-mid end gaming PC. Any reason to not pull the trigger on this one? Can anyone help? How are the thermals?
If you can put up with a CPU fan throttling up loudly and then back down constantly while "medium" gaming it's OK at best. It would annoy the heck out of me. The i7-11700s are hot CPUs and really demand better cooling (liquid) than this fan cooled setup offers. Thermally, as you can see, there are no frontal nor top side openings. It essentially can only draw in outside air from a small opening at the bottom of the front panel (unless the one and only case fan in the back blows inward). I assume the PSU fan vents out.

I love Asus components, but highly question their thermal design prowess when it comes to their desktop and laptop builds.

I purchased an ASUS laptop, way over built for what I need. I like ASUS. Going to pick this up for the homeschool.

Buy products not brands. All brands have horrible products and there's a good chance you'll buy one of those if you buy based off brand.

I don't believe this one has a good PSU and motherboard. If your area has Microcenter, I recommend buying parts and build PC yourself. With the same price, you can build the one with better PSU and motherboard.
The term "noob" must confuse some....
