This. Combined with the numerous reviews mentioning off gassing / weird smells / etc it makes sense that the Polyurethane in these and the byproducts it creates ends up in the air you breathe near them. Not debating the comfort and quality of these, but it appears to come at a cost of taking in cancer causing agents into your body.
I'm a side sleeper and tired of having to fold my pillows bc everything out there is crap unless I spend a ridiculous amount of money on something like a pillow. But let the manufacturers and mattress ppl throw in their opinion….. "your rest is the most important thing in your life, if you don't sleep well your whole day will be ruined" etc etc. Yea buddy, you may have a point but we see right through your sales tactics.

People really complain about a chemical smell regarding these pillows...

I've seen a few memory foam pillows for $10-15 that have been great for me. Don't have to spend a fortune. I'm a side sleeper as well.

Polyurethane is not toxic to humans once fully dried and has myriad home applications, including memory foam and bedding.
