I used to be in the electronic business ....
I'm not going down this path again. If you ever come across anyone that is or used to be in the electronic business.....please ask them what the industry thinks of Rtings.com and their TV rating system.
I frankly could not care any less about a TV's gaming capabilities because IDK I'm one of those weird people that uses TVs to watch TV shows/films and gaming a large monitor designed for the task.
Have you visually compared the X900F against the X900G, X900H or the X900J???
*The X900G is actually better than the X900F "BUT" Sony added the "X-Wide Angle" filter which improved the wide angle viewing and in the process degraded picture and brightness quality.
I just got the 77" sony a week ago and if anything it looks worse than my 65" 2017 LG OLED because everything is larger and defects more noticeable
Upscaling only works when using the built in software; if you use a Roku, AppleTV, etc its already upscaled to 4K and the tv does nothing further. I've manually set my AppleTV to output 1080p and 720p for comparison sake (while playing 720p and 1080p content) and it actually looks better when I let the AppleTV do it.
I'm not disappointed enough to return it, but I definitely went for it based on this Sony is better shit being posted on slickdeals over and over. Worst of all, my Klipsch Fives are super buggy and disconnect frequently when using HDMI ARC with this tv -- a problem I did not have with my 2017. I had to switch to optical.
So please, unless you actually have these TVs, stop repeating the things other people who also don't own the TVs are posting. It's ridiculous and it's flat out wrong.

I got the Samsung 85" qn90a on sale ($2100) and am strongly considering returning/selling. The size is great but once you go oled it's hard to do anything else. But am also considering keeping bc oled 83" or 85" is easily another 2k+ more than what I paid for the Samsung (and what I paid for the Samsung was ~300 more than the 65" lg oled and I'm struggling with justifying it). Haven't tried the ps5 on it yet, it might stay on the oled, who knows.
First world problems….. #grateful #blessed
