So unless you need something now all things will look like relatively bad deals in a few days.
Let the prices drop stabilize then buy.
I image gpu prices might go back up after the 4000 series get released and we go under another covid surge.
but if we keep opening up less need to isolate and game.

$1116 + tax (depends where you live):
$55 for ddr4 16gb (2- dimm 8gb each same as the pre-built)
$300 for CPU (comes with mobo)
$600 for GPU
$65 liquid cooler (corsaire)
$36 1tb SSD (crucial)
$60 800watt pay (raidmax)
Windows 11 is pretty much free if you have an account with Microsoft
Note: DDR 5 works better with ryzen vs DDR 4
DDR4 is quite an old technology, that means your not getting full output potential.
It's probably worth more to buy the dell alienware r10 with 5800x with 1 dimm 16gb ddr4, 3060 12gb OC, 1tb, and the rest is the same above build for $1200. Why pay an extra $300 for a 3070ti?? Lol

I put the screws on 3 TUF cards in a mining rig 24/7 for nearly a year at high overclocks. They ran ice cold and nearly silent even at high fan speeds, and never gave me any issues whatsoever. I'd pay MORE for one than an EVGA for the transferable warranty alone, which helped me unload my cards as eth and GPU prices began nose diving.
* Who pays $300 more for a 3070 Ti? Someone that wants a GPU that's just shy of twice as fast
* * DDR5 is superior but DDR4 isn't totally antiquated (DDR3 is). Boards and CPUs just started supporting it...it is still exotic and very expensive, and is JUST now beginning to phase out DDR4. Also, I'd rather have a 2 DIMM arrangement at the same RAM amount so as to enable dual channel mode.

SSD is nvme $100
Mobo is $150
case is $50 for a cheap but decent one
Fans are another expense depending on how many you get
Windows 11 isn't free, but can be gotten cheap
Also 3060 is for 1080 gaming. My 3070 ti games on my 2k monitor at high settings.
