That's the 7S26 movement. Doesn't hack, doesn't handwind. Nothing wrong with it per se, it's the same movement in my Seiko SNK805 and it gets the job done. Just understand that's a very basic automatic movement.

Maybe that's why it's a mechanical going for $99?

My first "nicer" watch was a Citizen Eco-Drive AW1361-10H 45mm posted here in February 2018 for ~$65. I thought 45mm was just normal sized until I just got a Seiko SNK809 at 38mm. Now the Seiko seems tiny and the Citizen seems huge. I just recently got an Orient at 41.5mm and it seems perfect to me. Wearing something at 49...I'd feel like I had a Pip-Boy from Fallout on my wrist.

You can easily get the better seiko NH35 movement cheaper

Which ones do you recommend? Any that are a similar style to the SNKN37?

Well, the Seiko NH35 movement is one of the most common automatic movements in entry watches. For example the invicta pro diver which you can get for $50 or $60 on amazon during sales has the seiko nh35 movement.

As for that style of watch, I am not sure actually as I don't really buy dress watches, but one watch that uses the NH35 and also has that same style is a spinnaker Hull like this one, but its way more expensive, so probably for that style you should just get the seiko for $100 even if it has a lesser movement.

or this one should be $175 with the promo:

the are both seiko nh35

But you told me I can get the better movement for cheaper, but unless I want a invicta pro diver, which is a completely different style, I can't really get it. Thanks anyway
