This is a fun little (plug in via a USB adapter) security camera. (Triggered) Clips are captured at 2k and 24/7 recordings are done at 1080p (if a clip is triggered during continuous recording the clip is still 2K resolution.) I've had one of these mounted outside on my covered porch for about a year (bought for same price in March 2021) so far attached to the light socket with an adapter and have had zero problems with temps ranging from ~0F to ~110F. The only downside of these sort of cameras is if your internet goes down you cannot access them even if your intranet is up. (Which is the argument for hardwired CCTV style, but these are much easier to install and forget.) The specific outdoor 24-hour recording version of these is give or take double the price and still has the same 2K / 1080p drawbacks. I've slowly been replacing my wyze cams with euffys and have been pleased (I also have 5 hardwired cheapo 1080p cameras because I'm a believer in overkill and grow marijuana outside 😂)

both pet and person, actually works. Only annoying thing like Wyze but not as bad occasional spam in the app.

The biggest reason I cancelled my Amazon order and went with Samsung was that there's no chance of getting a counterfeit card from Samsung, compared to Amazon.

Personally I've blocked off the internet access through my router and just use a OpenVPN and the Synology app to view the feeds when I need to. I also set up Synology to send me all the alerts.
The great thing is that with the SD card in the camera it's still records every clip just in case my NAS or my internet goes down.
I've had two sitting outside for over a year now with no issues. I also bought POE ethernet adapters to USB from Amazon so I can put them wherever I want and just keep the POE switch on a UPS.
