Bigger bonuses. Then once it's time to renew, you downgrade to a no annual fee card.

No matter whatever card you get from them, Cap One is wasted credit inquiries. They like to pull ALL three bureaus. Most other cards only pull one. Nothing Cap One offers is worth 3 inquires on your reports.
Cancel after one year. So effectively a $650 bonus.
Show me a no annual fee card with a ~$650 bonus... I'll wait.

I wouldn't discount them for this alone. They are rough on the initial application but don't do any hard pulls for CLI. It's only Cap1, AMEX, and Discover that don't do hard pills for CLI.
I used these 3 cards to do a round robin of CLI and now have $250k in open credit lines.
Agree with the post as far as prices being in par. Noticed though there is a small fee on top of the price though. I think it was less than a couple of dollars. That fee is not refunded even if you cancel within 24 hours and cancellation has to be done with the airline. Price protection feature seems nice though..
Not entirely true. The booking $1 fee will be returned as well, If you booked it via CO portal. I've done it several times.
VX is my primary card and Chase R wife's primary card. Both of them are the strongest per $ per our use.
VX gives you $300 towards travel and $100 in miles, so essentially you're getting a buck back for using this card.
Regarding this card, I think it's ok to get it for points, but it's not as good as VX card.
Applied for and got approved for Venture X, It's virtually zero annual fee, after the credits. What sold me is the lounge access and no extra charge for additional authorized users each of whom also get their lounge access.
Any way to use a virtual card before you get the physical one?
Got my Venture X today by FedEx. I had applied on Friday, so this was really quick!
How long do we have to wait before we can sign up for Priority pass? When I tried to do that this morning it didn't recognize my card as an eligible number yet.
Anyone has any question about Venture X card, please PM me. I have been issuing this card for 4 months now and has been very happy with it.
Apar from the SUB and $300 travel credit, $100 in points every year, there are tons of ways you can turn your 2x points to 1:1 cash if you travel at all. No I am not saying you have to use it for airlines points transfer. If you do anything for fun, like book rental cars, go to music concerts etc etc

For me I could sign up for Priority Pass with my virtual card even before the actual card arrived!

Just do the math. The more money you spend on the card, the more points you accrue.

If the Cap1 link is needed, how do the authorized users register? Do I need to give them account access? Or can I register Priority pass for them?
Yup.

Walmart says Cap One customer service on their walmart credit card is so bad they want to cancel the contract.
Cap One says their service was fine and Walmart is just trying to get out of a contract.

[a NON-business card with that bonus!]
Cancel will hit your credit score. Worhter downgrade or just cut it up.
