Thank you OP! Got this card a few weeks ago & just recently got the bonus as well. Its life-changing and I love using all the benefits/rewards it has to offer. The annual fee basically pays for itself once you convert the miles to cash

Check into that. With the Venture, cashing points into cash only gives you half value. You can use them to make travel related purchases or to "reimburse" yourself for travel related purchases for full value.

If you're new to the credit card game, look into Chase cards as well. Most of those you can redeem points for full cash value.

Just fyi It doesn't appear this message is a direct response to to another message. Maybe whomever you wanted to respond didn't see it.

Also, be careful what you post online as you never know what wifey's attorney could uncover and use against you. Good luck man!

Why are you divorcing?

Got the card as well and I thought I would be denied based on the first few pages of comments.

700-ish credit score
4.75 years of established credit
Decent income, low rent, no car payment.

Even though they don't ask about the car payments, banks always seem to ask about the rent and if you're paying an arm and a leg for rent they flake in my opinion.

EDIT: My apologies. I got the Venture X

With the Venture they won't give you full value on cashback unless you count being reimbursed for travel expenses. I have a Spark Business card as well as the Venture and the Spark card will give you cash back at 100% value.

No matter whatever card you get from them, Cap One is wasted credit inquiries. They like to pull ALL three bureaus. Most other cards only pull one. Nothing Cap One offers is worth 3 inquires on your reports.

It's probably one of the best customers service experience s I have had ... and their cards are great

Why did you cancel? I'm looking to get it but I just got 3 different cards recently so I have to wait another 12 months.

Cancel after one year. So effectively a $650 bonus.
Show me a no annual fee card with a ~$650 bonus... I'll wait.

[a NON-business card with that bonus!]

chase had 750, and the points to get the amount u had to spend.. just pp yourself to one acctz pay the fee then u get the points which really made the fee less than 2% and ie . spend 4k get 4000 points pay $120 in fees get $40 back in new points so get 790-120 is 670, better than 650 with no fee and pay back the cc with the $ u lent yourself indirectly.. and had 12 or 15 months zero interest.

Here are the programs you can xfer points to. First batch is 1:1
Aeromexico Club Premier
Air Canada - AeroplanĀ®
Cathay Pacific - Asia Miles
Avianca LifeMiles
British Airways Executive Club
Choice Privileges®2
Emirates Skywards
Etihad Guest
Finnair Plus
Flying Blue
Qantas Frequent Flyer
Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer
TAP Miles&Go
Turkish Airlines Miles&Smiles
Virgin Red
Wyndham Rewards

When you transfer 1,000 Capital One miles to this transfer partner, you'll receive 750 miles:

EVA Air (Infinity MileageLands)

When you transfer 1,000 Capital One miles to this transfer partner, you'll receive 500 points:

ALL (Accor Live Limitless)

So between Wyndham Rewards and Choice Privileges, I think you are getting access to a LOT of different hotels through those 2 programs, even if you don't go through the Capital One reservation system. And I don't see why you couldn't use this credit card to reserve any of the hotels in either of those programs, and earn points in their respective programs by doing so. All you would have to do, for example, is show your Wyndham Rewards card when checking in to one of their hotels.
