Too late for chocolate to survive I think. Amazon will not use cold packs. Maybe if it was Amazon Fresh.
Amen to this. Saturday was only in the 70s here and I received seriously melted Reese's peanut butter cups with pretzels and Atkins Endulge bars. I should have known better as I am apparently last when it comes to the day's deliveries. I received my monthly S&S shipment after 8pm and my items were sitting in a truck all day.
They went in the freezer for recovery, but no more like orders until around October for me.

We had a cool spell here in Philly a few weeks ago so I took advantage and ordered some of the chocolate Amazon was dumping on Woot ahead of summer and threw most of it in the freezer. I have more than enough to last us until fall.

That's what is interesting about my Amazon treats arriving melted. I live in Central Delaware and it only hit a high temp of 71 that day. But I guess even with that low temp packages sitting in a hot truck all day are susceptible to melting. I wish I had the freezer space like you! ;-)

I used to load those UPS trucks years ago when they came in to pick up our packages. They could get super hot. The brown is a heat magnet and that skylight likely does not help either.
I did get a pack of Reese's and KitKat delivered last week. They were soft but not so bad that the peanut butter cups deformed thankfully.
buy and if they are melted, tell amazon for money back and free candy
I thought about contacting Customer Service and they would have likely given me a refund or credit. However, as this has happened to me before, this one was on me for ordering in April for my May S&S shipment. I should have just waited until October, especially because I already have a supply of candy and diet bars. Always the temptation of the deal wins out over common sense..... :-)
