RTSP will only work at 1080P via something like blue iris. It makes a big difference so be wary of that's what you're thinking.

One "benefit" of that integration is, you never have to worry about third party support or reliability as the devices are directly communicating with your HomeKit Hub (an iPad, AppleTV, or HomePod.)
Another benefit of that integration is the ability to use various sensors and devices in automation directly; not all sensors and devices are supported by thiryd party HomeKit tooling, though the developers really do their best to try to make things work.
The last benefit of HomeKit enabled devices is the ability to use HKSV (HomeKit Secure Video.) This is of interest to those who appreciate assurances around their privacy - HKSV is local encryption between the device and your iCloud account so no one can view or intercept your streams. Don't know why in the world you would get downvoted for this considering some of them are HomeKit compatible and it's not always clear. Thank you!
I am very happy with the camera. Big pro is there is no monthly fee whatsoever.
Camera settings>General>Storage>NAS (RTSP)>RTSP Security
You can enable authentication, and set username and password.

Also, with HKSV, if you have a paid iCloud account, it will record your video (how many cameras depends on the tier, but "only" in HD/1080 resolution). This allows you to bypass some of the potential security gotchas with Eufy.
In a nutshell: if you're invested in the Apple ecosystem, it's absolutely worth considering.
If not, well, it doesn't matter.
And, once Matter is finished and available, proprietary connections to HK won't matter (no pun intended...) that much any more.
