I'm fit tested for the 8210 and use this in the hospital. The straps are more durable than any other n95 brand (particularly Honeywell) I've used. The mask is rigid enough to easily don on and off when reusing it over a 12 hr shift compared to a duckbill style. Picked up a box just in case. My hospital has seen outbreaks on multiple units since April and n95 use is mandatory now (we used to be able to use surgical masks).

Agreed. I've been using the cheap surgical masks. Not perfect but helps a ton. I'm sure my neighbors think I'm a weirdo for wearing a mask in the heat outside, but my nose and allergies do not care.

I did get in on the $8 50-pack of KN95 a few days ago.

Waiting on a deal for the vented N95. I went through my 10 pack and they were a godsend for regulating the moisture and heat while working outside.

I had to use these N95 masks while working in the hospital. I can tell you after a 12 hours shift wearing these N95 masks- they are absolute torture. The straps are rubber and snap easily. They don't usually last long. The straps stretch over time and get weaker and weaker and eventually snap. They also dig into your cheeks and face. They are not intended for larger faces. I often found my nose bruised badly. I tried even using bandaid or something to cover my nose bridge. Still was badly bruised. I found wearing them to be absolute torture. A lot of people will see them at a discount and see the 3M branding and that they're N95 masks and think they're good quality. But honestly, I would buy another N95 mask. Try to get N95 masks that have a better strap. Also KF94 are very similar in protection- about 94% efficient in protection compared to 95%. And the KF94 masks are so much more comfortable. I have switched to these now and can wear them without any bruises on my nose and also my cheeks.

Could you point to the kn94 items you found to be good for you? Were they cdc or niosh certified, made by a known manufacturer?

Rite aids were giving these out for free 3 per customer per visit. They since switched to a different version by 3m.

I used this YouTube channel to find a couple good KF94 masks. https://youtu.be/N5XnjuPTkgU. He tests each mask for particulate efficiency. He's been interviewed NYTimes, WSJ. He's legit. I also buy my KF94 masks at the local Korean grocery store- HMart. There may be different places you can buy them too. I found the shipping for KF94 masks online to be extremely expensive. Also all legit KF94 masks are certified by the South Korean government to be 94% efficient. They're not too expensive and way more comfortable to wear.

Same, I'm also for tested for this model and during shortages I wear the same mask for a 10 hour shift for 3 to 4 days before the strap breaks. It's tight and the band is rubber so it might pinch longer hair a little but nothing a scrub cap doesn't solve. Going to buy a few boxes because this is cheap and not foreign knockoffs.
