I'd be a bit learly of these specific FTW3 3090's, there were a bunch of rev 0.1 PCB versions that had power problems, either failures or wonky power draw requiring a special RMA process. EVGA has a pile of these they are fixing and selling off.
But yeah, you shouldn't get this for gaming, only if you need the extra VRAM.
No. In all likelyhood the 4080 will be 10% faster than a 3090 and sell for about $1000, you won't be able to get one for under $1500 until mid 2023. Good luck.
