Link is not working for me either.

But this is a better deal IMHO for $20 more. Bigger circular saw and comes with reciprocating saw instead of a jig saw. Not sure that small circular saw can cut, maybe fence boards.

I totally agree. The 5.5" circular saw is just barely usable for most things. I've found myself using a reciprocating saw many times to make up for it. I wish it was a 7.5" for 2x4s and 4x4s, but for thin planks and sheets of plywood, the 5.5" will do the job.

A 5-1/2" circular saw can cut anything from plywood up to 2x framing lumber.

The Ryobi 5.5 circ saw feels like a cheap plastic toy. I have not used it yet so cannot speak as to how well it works. Came as part of a set and I intended to sell it, but no buyers locally even for dirt cheap.

The 5-1/2" Ryobi saw is a hidden gem. Check out the youtube reviews. I use mine for light duty while at work. I install tile for a living so only occasionally have a use for a circular saw. This little saw is great for cross cutting 2x4's, ripping sheet goods, cutting ledger boards, furring strips, etc. I have two other full sized saws, one corded and one cordless. I stopped talking them to work because the little Ryobi is so light and small, but gets the job done for what I need it for. Obviously you're not going to frame a house out with it, but it is surprisingly handy for tradesmen like me who just needs a dependable saw for occasional use on the job. Plus it takes up almost no room room in my tool box.

Didn't know it could 2x4s, thanks for the correction.

Thanks, I stand corrected. If it does 2x4s that's good enough for me.

I have the 7,5". It cuts through 2x10s like butter!

I personally think this is trash not because the price but because 5.5 circular saws are trash even for a minor hobbyist. Get a full size circular saw, this thing can barely if even that cut through a 2×4. Learn from my mistakes.

I had a 5.5 and it was super limiting. I just got the full size ryobi brushless circular saw. I love ryobi, I just think 5.5s are a waste of money, you'll want to upgrade pretty quickly.
