Played a bit of the first SC last year. The levels are very square/boxy and feel empty compared to modern titles. Controls are a little janky but liveable. Lighting effects are still great.

Can anyone comment on how it feels approaching Splinter Cell for the first time in the last few years? I played most of these games around the time they came out and liked them all. I would imagine that they don't feel super dated.

I just got Splinter Cell for the original xbox and am enjoying it despite some buggyness. The stories are solid, characters are believable, and appreciate its originality. I am wondering why Pandora Tommorow isnt in this list because Id rather have that than the last two- Conviction and Blacklist. Solid buy if you enjoy the stealthiest of the stealth games.

Do we really need a new thread for every single Ubi coupon deal?

I'm also curious about this, but not sure how I feel about redeeming anything on the Ubi store.

For some reason, Pandora tomorrow isn't even available to purchase separately for PC on any site whether its Ubi Store, Steam, Fanatical, GOG, Eneba, CD Keys.

An unfortunately common problem with late 90s-00s PC games. And many on CD run horribly on modern hardware. PS2 emulator has some huge upsides.

I played the first three (Including Pandora Tomorrow) for the first time in the last six years. Also played them all again in the last two years. I absolutely loved them. I think there's a lot that goes into this calculation, so if you want to make a compromise, I'd play Chaos Theory again. Timeless classic. But refresh yourself on the plot to Splinter Cell 1.

I love that game. I just played it again a couple years ago, but it feels like months ago. It's crazy when they order you to do something crazy. Trying not to spoil it.

I'm the exact opposite. Hell would freeze over before I would play these games (I've only beat the first three) on console again.

It's the quicksave. I beat the first one on Xbox with no quicksave and it was absolutely miserable. I thought I hated Splinter Cell games, but I forced myself to try Pandora Tomorrow on PC. Difference was night and day. Instead of replaying the same sequence over and over and just having a miserable time of it, being constantly stressed out about it, I started having a blast, trying different approaches and having fun.
