Played a bit of the first SC last year. The levels are very square/boxy and feel empty compared to modern titles. Controls are a little janky but liveable. Lighting effects are still great.

Can anyone comment on how it feels approaching Splinter Cell for the first time in the last few years? I played most of these games around the time they came out and liked them all. I would imagine that they don't feel super dated.

I just got Splinter Cell for the original xbox and am enjoying it despite some buggyness. The stories are solid, characters are believable, and appreciate its originality. I am wondering why Pandora Tommorow isnt in this list because Id rather have that than the last two- Conviction and Blacklist. Solid buy if you enjoy the stealthiest of the stealth games.

No Pandora Tomorrow?
For some reason, Pandora tomorrow isn't even available to purchase separately for PC on any site whether its Ubi Store, Steam, Fanatical, GOG, Eneba, CD Keys.

And I've noticed in past sales also it was not included, that was a good game

I played the first three (Including Pandora Tomorrow) for the first time in the last six years. Also played them all again in the last two years. I absolutely loved them. I think there's a lot that goes into this calculation, so if you want to make a compromise, I'd play Chaos Theory again. Timeless classic. But refresh yourself on the plot to Splinter Cell 1.

An unfortunately common problem with late 90s-00s PC games. And many on CD run horribly on modern hardware. PS2 emulator has some huge upsides.
