They're both great games but fulfill different roles.

Scott Pilgrim is more reminiscent to the old brawler RPGs like River City Ransom. Characters level up and gain new abilities as they progress to better deal with multiple enemies. Stages don't change in structure very much other than having different backgrounds and switching some of the types of enemies.

Castle Crashers is akin to the more difficult beat-em-ups of the old days like Battletoads and TMNT. Attacks are very basic to not have many options against dealing with multiple enemies. There are some RPG elements but they're mostly focused on increasing damage numbers. And stages will often change to include moving stages that will test players reactions as well as a heavier emphasis on stage hazards.

So which one is better depends on personal preference.

Ridiculously good deal for an awesome game! I had it when it originally released on Xbox 360 and put dozens of hours into it trying to beat it solo on the toughest difficulty.

This looks fun, thank you. Does anyone know if the multiplayer is couch co-op? I bought it anyways but can't see myself playing this online/remote only with my wife in person.

Same price on ps4/5, and it has been this price multiple times over the past few months on both the Switch and PS4/5. Not sure about Xbox but it's probably been the same price there at times as well.

Castle Crashers is the easier and less frustrating of the two, but both are good. Pilgrim definitely offers the bigger challenge. If kids are a factor, my 8 year old has played both and prefers Castle Crashers because it's easier, but he has fun with both.

It has couch co-op for other systems, so I'd imagine it is the same here for Switch.

Gameplay movement is very slow. Is there a way to speed it up in settings? Same with streets of rage 4
