Just to add to this as well, the warranty on b-stock cannot be extended so it's 1 year and no other options.

From past research experience, people are damaging/killing the life span on the memory chips way before the GPU itself. The 3090's come with rear memory chips which are virtually unable to dissipate heat (backplate doesn't do squat). The Memory on the front is able to dissipate heat via the actual heatsink.
I wouldn't be surprised if you can barely overclock the memory anymore on these cards. Miners would try to push an overclock anywhere between +1300 all the way to +2000 overclock. As months go on and the chips degrade from not being properly cooled, lucky if the chips can be overclocked at all.
So yeah, if you get a B-Stock 3090, make sure you check to see if the Memory is not degraded.
3080/3080 Ti's do not have this problem because they do not have memory on the back of the PCB

People may OC +1500 to +2000 to get some sort of amazing hashrate, but nobody runs that 24/7 on any sort of scale, it's too hot and unstable. Maybe on a small scale with a modded card.
Furthermore, for all the alarming talk about vram junction temps, there have been no reported cases of memory failure or degradation. I got a 3080 Ti that came out of the box as an already poor memory OCer, it has not degraded further after nearly a year. Heck, HIVE OS didn't even report vram junction temp until 2 months ago. There are literally millions of 3080's world wide that have been running at 100C+ vram junction for over a year continuously.
3070 Ti's,3080's and 3080 Ti's can DEFINITELY have poor vram thermals, for a variety of reasons, but mainly because of poor thermal pads or poor application of pads.
These cards got 99 problems, but memory temps and memory reliability is not one of them.
