Depends on what you're using it for. Dark matter has an IPS panel and this is a VA panel. I picked this up for multitasking and working at home. I love ultrawides for multitasking. 32" just doesn't do it for me.
do i get 2k resolution if i use a display port to hdmi cable?
thanks!
Yes, it's 2K and the adapter won't change that.
The only negative that I can see is the VA panel. I've had the 34" IPS version of this monitor. Work sent me a curved 34" Samsung monitor (better connectivity via USB-C). It had a VA panel and the image quality was terrible. I had it replaced with the 34" USB-C LG 35WN80C (IPS), and it's been great!
Does this have the annoying 'rolled edge' (like where a webpage scrollbar would be) like it's 32" little brother does? The 32" rolled the edge so bad it was hard to see the scrollbar most of the time, borderline invisible. I couldn't deal with that and returned it.

You... You want to see the scrollbar? I hide mine and have never needed to scroll with it.

No, I was giving a point of reference for location. If you are playing a game, the edges of the screen roll and disappear all the same. Read reviews on other sites about it:

You're probably talking about this: https://m.imgur.com/gallery/JTPykBh I've seen people complain about this with the LG ultragear monitors. I don't know if it's a VA thing, a flat vs curved thing, or solely a LG thing but I've gone through 2 different non-LG brands of VA curved screens (not ultra wide, mind you) and haven't experienced that. But it's Costco so it shouldn't be too tough to return.
