Was watching this on Amazon... $100 a few months ago... Didn't pull trigger, up to $150 and the price has been waffling in-between $120-$150 since. Used the spring 21 code to get for $88.xx. thanks OP and first comment dude!

You do realize the Stanley set is intended for camping. Each piece is stored inside of each other in a compact size to make it very portable and small.

So what if it stacks. For car camping, your better off with normal pots and pans, and for backpacking, too much stuff. I have some of the small Stanley pots that I use, so I know what the stuff is like, but spending $100 for this set is questionable. Confused Confused

Pretty sure most people that go camping, have RVs etc prefer stackable like this because of limited space & easier packing, more portable, etc. Non-stick pans have types of rubber prone to fire damage & what a total pain to have to carry large kitchen set pieces. Even backpacking depending on how much weight you want to carry (it's 8.2 lbs) it can be perfect in many situations so it's really a personal preference.

For those with REI coupons to use this week, this is also a good set. This one includes plates, bowls, etc but one less pot that this current thread.

Exactly. These sets take up like a one foot by one foot in volume. Easy to pack in the car or camper and includes a ton of capability in a very small footprint. No one wants to be carting full-sized pans out camping as the handles make it hard to pack small. And yes, don't want the non-stick coatings or any of that, too.

The stanley set is actually pretty nice. I have it.
As one reviewer put it "this frying pan may actually be nicer than my normal home frying pan"

Now, there are two different versions of this kit.
The other one adds 4x plates/bowls/utensils. They get rid of the sauce pan.
They both cost about the same.

Personally, I like the one with bowls/plates. The idea that everything you need for a family camping trip is in one container is pretty sweet. However, if i were mostly camping with adults who could be trusted with eating everything out of a coffee cup? I'd probably get this one.
