Your wife was probably generalizing the price is comparable to the ones she prefers to use. NYX is around $10 at the store. While it seems like a great deal, these are not waterproof so prepare for the raccoon eyes.

I still see the coupon today. This $1.67 price w/ coupon is the lowest I've seen (or $1.44 w/ 15% S&S). This deal is super slick IMO.

I ordered a whole bunch of these before and I'm not a big fan of these two. The one that's called a little sketchy is pretty good but these two didn't have the best coverage and flaked off.

I got this deal the last time it was posted. As much as I love NYX, these suck! the "point" on the eyeliner is so sharp it literally hurts when applying. I've been wearing eyeliner basically everyday for years and I've tried so many brands and never had one literally hurt before. It sucks even more that I got 3 and I'll probably have to throw them away.
