Former ATI user here. I switched since Acronis no longer offers a perpetual option. I perform all my backups in the WinPE environment and ATI is considerably faster, including image verification, when doing a full backup. Aside from that, my Macrium backups have been smooth and features are comparable. I like the option of being able to consolidate incremental backup files into a full backup, which ATI lacked.

Some advanced backup options like the "incremental forever/synthetic full backup" and intra daily backups with stealth mode. Changed block tracking for faster backups. Encryption for backups. I think some additional recovery options like bare metal restore to different hardware as well. Of course you also get support.

What they don't tell you is that you can't upgrade to the next version without paying again.
